About the Resort
Steamboat is a unique blend of a world-class ski destination and an authentic western ranching town. Located in the Park Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, it is globally celebrated for its trademarked Champagne Powder®—an incredibly light, dry snow that makes for some of the best powder skiing in the world. The resort recently underwent a massive 'Full Steam Ahead' expansion, adding new gondolas, expanded base facilities, and exciting new terrain.
The Resort
The mountain spans six distinct peaks, offering a massive 2,965 acres of skiable terrain. It is particularly renowned for its perfectly spaced glades, offering unparalleled tree skiing for advanced and expert riders. At the same time, the lower and middle mountains provide incredibly wide, impeccably groomed cruisers that are a dream for beginners and intermediates.
Beyond the slopes, Steamboat Springs offers a vibrant, historic downtown area located just a few miles from the resort base.
